Copper is one of the oldest metal has been in use for 10,000 years. It is a soft, ductile, and malleable metal with high properties of thermal and electrical conductivity. Occurring naturally in nature in ore form, copper is extracted or mined as copper sulphide which is smelted to remove other impurities from the crushed ores. The surface of copper is of pinkish orange tinged colour. When exposed to atmospheric conditions, the surface of copper develops a green coloured patina due to the oxidization process
Tubes are cylindrical hollow copper sections with hard or soft temper made from C106 grade of copper metal in a mill finish.
Copper tubes are round in diameter and hollow by cross section. These tubes are made from C106 grade of copper metal which is oxygen free and has excellent thermal conductivity. Tubes made from the C106 grade of copper metal are widely used in electrical applications, engineering works, domestic purposes, and many other applications in the medical field. The C106 copper tube is largely used in the plumbing industry for heating purposes as it is easy to bend, has great thermal properties, and does not react under atmospheric conditions as it is oxygen-free.
